This sketch has a lot more work before completion, but below are two progress images.  One just before stopping, and another a few minutes before that.

Below it is at the seventeen-minute mark.

The simple set up on foamcore "stage".

This drawing will definitely need photographed again.

Here is the set up and the drawing after seventeen minutes.

Here is the finished drawing, followed by several details and a couple progress shots.  There are a couple of images of the drawing very near completion that are not quite as blurry as the images of the completed drawing.  I tried to include a couple of those.

Nearly finished drawing with simple set up.

I had a friend ask me yesterday how this project was going, and whether or not I was able to keep up with a new sketch each day.  My answer was a reluctant no.  I have not completed a new sketch each day, but I have tried to at least begin a new one every day.  I neglected to start a new drawing only twice thus far, but even on those days I was still drawing (bringing older sketches to completion).  I would rather spend time returning to, and finishing, incomplete sketches so they can be used as reference for future prints, paintings, or more refined drawings than spend my time starting daily sketches without ever completing one.  The truth is the goal of seventeen minutes of sketching per day has turned into hours of sketching per day, so it should be considered nothing less than a success.

Below is the most recent sketch at the seventeen-minute mark, along with a shot of the most basic set up and a progress photo.  I used this wood carving tool as a simple, small subject that could be sketched to completion in one sitting.

Below is the finished sketch, along with some details.

Below is the the cup a little beyond the seventeen-minute mark.  You can also see the simple set up of a single object placed directly on the drawing table with one artificial light source from the left and a little natural light coming in from behind.

Here is the finished image.

Below is a process photograph, followed by several details.

I intend to finish this drawing.  Once I have, this post will be updated.  All posts will be updated again once I have taken higher quality images.

Here is the sketch at the seventeen-minute mark.

Here is the setup that I am working with.

Below are some progress photos and some details.
