Hello, everyone.

I have been away from consistent art making for far too long.  Since the birth of my son, I have used whatever excuse necessary to avoid pursuing my artistic endeavors.  Perhaps it became a lower priority for the first time in my life, or maybe I was fearful of mediocre results.  Regardless of which of the many possible reasons for my lack of enthusiasm was the culprit, I nearly always used lack of time as a scapegoat.

This project idea is a plan to ignite, and to fuel, my creative fire.  I can no longer use the excuse of time, as these sketches will only take seventeen minutes each day.  I no longer need to fear the results, as these are mere sketches for practice, retraining and retention.  These are nothing more than a way to force myself to actively engage in art making, regardless of results, each and every day.

These sketches will be timed.  After seventeen minutes I will photograph and post the image.  I may continue the sketch after this initial photograph, and if I do, I may post the more polished sketch here as well.
I may incorporate posts of my finished drawings, prints and paintings too.  This may even become a journal to document my process as a whole.  Regardless of what else may be included, it is my goal to produce at least one sketch per day.  I may not post each day, as I may not always be online, but I will date each sketch and post them whenever I can.  This will offer a glimpse into the chronological timeline of my progression.

Please be patient as I work out minor details before beginning this project.  Once the project is up and running, the content should remain fresh.

Thanks for taking time to stop by,
Randy
